Install the browser onto your development host

To install the QNX Web Browser onto your development host, you use the QNX Software Center.

Release notes

Before installing the QNX Web Browser, read the latest release notes. To access the release notes:

Launch the QNX Software Center, then select Install New Packages from the Welcome screen.
In the Available tab, expand the QNX Web Browser item, then expand the Web Browser subitem.
Right-click the QNX® Web Browser 2.0 (based on Blink v55) - QNX Web Browser package, then select Properties > General Information.
Click the link in the Release Notes field.

You can view the release notes only if your development host is connected to the Internet.

Note: If the QNX® Web Browser 2.0 (based on Blink v55) - QNX Web Browser package doesn't appear in the Available tab, visit your myQNX account profile, which displays license information for each product assigned to you. If your profile doesn't display a license for the QNX Web Browser, contact your license administrator.

Installation

The release notes may contain special instructions or requirements for installation. If so, be sure to follow those before proceeding. Otherwise, the process of installing the browser is simple: right-click the QNX® Web Browser 2.0 (based on Blink v55) - QNX Web Browser package and select Install.
