This chapter explains how to generate a target images for a QNX product, such as
QNX Platform for ADAS.
These instructions assume that you have already downloaded and installed
the product reference image for the target board you want and that
you use the default locations for installations provided by
QNX Software Center,
the BSP for your target board, the product installation, and all required
updates.
Note:
- Unless otherwise specified, the instructions in this
chapter presume that you're working in
the commandline on a Linux host.
- For more information about the board and using BSP for
your board, see the appropriate
User's Guide for your BSP.
Prerequisites
The components you need when you build a target image aren't the same for every QNX
product. Typically, you'll need:
- the QNX SDP release that supports your product with the latest updates
- the BSP for your QNX Neutrino release for your board and
QNX SDP release
- the binaries for your product, such as QNX Platform for ADAS
- any packages required for these products and supporting technologies
- supporting third-party technologies, such as codecs, as required
- the version of Python that comes installed with QNX Software Development Platform 7.0.
Release notes
See the release notes for your product release and the components you need to build your image with for the most current information
about:

- components you may require that are not included in the
standard QNX Neutrino SDP, or in your product-specific package (e.g., in your QNX Platform for ADAS package)
