This block in the architecture represents the third-party hardware SDKs and vendor-specific codecs that we have integrated into the QNX Platform for ADAS. We include SDKs that allow your application to access hardware accelerators.
These components are specific to the hardware platforms supported for this release. In most cases, you'll need to contact
the vendor of the hardware to get the hardware accelerators and codecs. For information about the pieces that you must get,
see the Image Generation release notes for the hardware platform.
Figure 1. Third-party accelerators
Some of the third-party components are as follows:
- NXP Apex
- NXP APEX is a this is a Vision accelerator to accelerate the
implementation of vision algoritms.
These accelerators help to provide reliable and performant
graphics required for your ADAS applications.
- Renesas IMR
- Renesas IMR provides hardware accelerators to provide performant 2-D and 3-D graphics acceleration for demanding ADAS applications. For more information, contact Renesas support.
- Vendor-specific codecs
- There are a number of codecs that are integrated in the
QNX Platform for ADAS from Intel and Renesas.
These codecs allow you to encode and decode video. These codecs are
necessary to record and show video on the display.
