Compute the inverse hyperbolic cosine
#include <math.h> double acosh( double x ); float acoshf( float x ); long double acoshl( long double x );
These functions compute the inverse hyperbolic cosine (in radians) of x.
The inverse hyperbolic cosine (in radians) of x. For finite values of x < 1, these functions return NaN. The return value when x is -Inf is NaN.
#include <stdio.h> #include <math.h> #include <stdlib.h> int main( void ) { printf( "%f\n", acosh( 1.5 ) ); return EXIT_SUCCESS; }
produces the output:
0.962424
