Project files (.project and .cproject)

For each project, the IDE stores important information in these files:


There are legitimate reasons to exclude these files from source control and let either SVN or CVS only maintain the actual code resources. However, a situation where you want to include these files in source control would be when users use the IDE and they need to apply the same settings. You must include both of these files with your project when you commit your changes into source control.
