Preparing Your Target

Whether you're connecting to a remote or a local target, you have to prepare your target machine so that the IDE can interact with the QNX Neutrino image running on it.

The host is the computer where the IDE resides (e.g., Windows, Linux). The target is the computer where QNX Neutrino and your programs run.

The qconn daemon is the target agent written specifically to support the IDE. It facilitates communication between the host and target computers.

To run programs on a target, you must create a QNX Target System Project to define the connection details of your target machine.
