Installing the Lauterbach Trace32 Eclipse plugin software

The Lauterbach Trace32 Eclipse plugin software links the IDE and the Lauterbach debugger, providing the connection between both development environments. The plugin adds a launch configuration to the IDE that you can use to start existing Trace32 installations; however, it doesn't let you use Trace32 debug functionality such as watch variables or the step and go functionality within the IDE.
To install the Lauterbach Trace32 Eclipse plugin software:
  1. Launch the QNX Momentics IDE on the host machine.
  2. Select Help > Check For Updates > Find and Install.
  3. Select Search for new features to install, then click Next.
  4. Click New Remote Site.
  5. In the Name field of the New Update Sitedialog, type a name for the update site.
  6. In the URL field, type the URL http://www.lauterbach.com/eclipse, then click OK.
  7. Verify that the newly added site is selected, then click Finish.
  8. From the remote site, install the Lauterbach Trace32 In-Circuit Debugger Integration feature. If required, restart the IDE during the installation process for the changes to take effect.
The Lauterbach Trace32 In-Circuit Debugger now appears in the list of configuration types:

Also, the Lauterbach debugger icon () is added to the Toolbar. You can use this icon to conveniently launch the Lauterbach CMM PRACTICE script from an open launch configuration dialog.
